SuthinSoirées Presents The Winter Wine & Dine

January 23, 2016

On a clear, cold winter evening, underneath fairy lights twinkling from the bare branches of tree-lined streets on Atlanta’s super chic Westside, fourteen ladies in lipstick and high heels kicked off SuthinGirl’s SuthinSoirées with The Winter Wine & Dine!

SuthinSoirées are seasonal celebrations featuring fabulous Southern Fashion, Food and Finer Things.

Cooks & Soldiers

Hidden behind a pair of heavy velvet drapes deep inside Cooks & Soldiers is an art-filled room where the restaurant’s coveted Chef’s Table faces out onto the energy and excitement of Atlanta’s bustling Westside. Every inch of that long table was covered in small plates of food inspired by Spain’s Basque cuisine. We oohed and ahhed and said things like, “That’s gorgeous! Oh, wow! Look at that! There’s so much food! We’ll never be able to finish it all!” Famous last words!

Some of SuthinGirl’s Cooks & Soldiers faves…

Chuletón: 1 kg. bone-in rib eye, Tempranillo bordelaise, ensalada verde (SuthinGirl Tip: Order the Chuletón as soon as you are seated…it takes about an hour to prepare!)

Fideuà ‘Paella:’ Georgia white shrimp, Mediterranean mussels, sobrassada, fideuà, saffron panna cotta

Bikini: White American grilled cheese, Jamón Ibérico, black truffle, white bread (I love the irony of the name. Cause you ain’t gonna be wearing a bikini right after eating a plate of these, lemme tell you. But oh myyyyyy, they are so worth it.)

Perrine’s Wine Shop

The Ladies of The Winter Wine and Dine

There’s no more wonderful winter activity than a cozy wine tasting with your best girlfriends and a master sommelier who is also happens to also be a gorgeous girlfriend!! Perrine Prieur, French native and owner of Atlanta’s award-winning Perrine’s Wine Shop, was our hostess for a VIP tasting tour around the grapes of California and France. Her shop is as warm and inviting as she is, and filled with gifts and goodies to accompany all the delicious bottles for sale.
