Raised on a low country island near Savannah, I grew up surrounded by three generations of charismatic entrepreneurs whose vision and work literally shaped our city. I count my lucky stars every single day for their living lessons in creativity, optimism, hustle, graciousness and style.
I've called a lovely, leafy part of Atlanta home since 1994. In 2015, after 20 years of freelance marketing and PR, I created SUTHINGIRL, an online destination to Shop the South®, and began consulting to and promoting southern brands + artists. In 2020, the Ashley Sparks Collection was born from a love for fine costume jewelry and sustainable design.
The very best part of me is my family. My husband and our three young adult kids (and three cats!) make everything I do possible, and also way too much fun.
SUTHINGIRL sparked to life in the spring of 2015 as an online marketplace to Shop the South®, and soon grew into a sought-after resource, consulting to and promoting southern brands + artists.
By 2016, our award-winning subscription box, The Pink Box, began landing on doorsteps and SUTHINGIRL threw open the doors of her virtual clubhouse, welcoming members around the world and proving that the South is a place in your heart, not on a map.
The mission of SUTHINGIRL is to celebrate the southern lifestyle, serve as the premier resource to Shop the South®, nurture + grow southern brands, and give back.
