Hey Girl, Hey!

March 17, 2016

Hey Girl, Hey!

I’m feeling some maje girl power swirling around me this week. First, there was my incredibly inspirational dinner with my baes (they promised I can pull that word off) Bri Gordon and Sam Holeman, founders of Miss Mogul + Co. at the always pleasing Local Three here in Atlanta.

There are BIG things afoot for this dynamic duo! Mentoring young female entrepreneurs in business is just the beginning…let’s keep an eye on them. I have a feeling we are going to be in for a treat.

Doesn’t get any more up close and personal than this! The Chef’s Table is literally in the middle of the kitchen at Local Three. (Next to the ice cream maker.)

Our evening at Local Three came to a close with a private tour of their legendary kitchen. We heard it boasted the longest piece of stainless steel in North America, so yeah, we had to see that for ourselves.

You can take a gander at it too either by dining at their Chef’s Table or during their fab Sunday Brunch, where you get to walk through the kitchen for a southern-inspired buffet to which no words will ever do justice.

The Getaway Girls

Oh, lordy. Scenes from our Girls’ Weekend escapades last September on Tybee Island, GA. This is just before paddle board yoga in the middle of the river on the most glorious day of the year. It was heaven and I will be honest with you, I didn’t think I was going to LOVE it like I did!! (Yes, I fell in.)

In keeping with the girl power theme of my week, I’ll be off for a much-anticipated Staycation with my four best girls here in Atlanta this weekend! Sharing time with these women always lifts me up, and we’re bringing in even more fabulous female forces with a personal chef and massage therapist, and goodies from our favorite sommolier, party ware company, jewelry designer and cute (and comfy) clothing designers!

It’s gonna be entrepreneurial energy and #GirlBosses galore! And, yes, I realize how decadent and over-the-top this all sounds. Trust me when I tell you that I’m bouncing in my seat as I type this. I’m SO excited!!!

If you’ve never planned a girl’s getaway before, I’m full of ideas for you. This whole Staycation concept is a boon, by the way. Feeling a thousand miles away without using up a moment of your precious time on travel? Yes, please! See you next week with scoop on all the fun!
