Happy Friday! Wooohoooo! Are you looking forward to your date night? Where are you going? And may I ask with whom?! Doooo tell! I can’t wait to hear all the dish! Getting ready for a date is fun fun fun! In the perfect world you have hours to lavish attention on your pre-date primp. In reality, sometimes you’re sliding in sideways to make it on time. SuthinGirl is gonna show you how how swapping out just a few of your accessories can elevate your whole look from get-er-done to date-night-sexy-pants!
Earlier this year, stylista India Hicks launched her gorgeous accessories and gifts line. Does her name sound familiar? She’s cousin to Prince Charles and was a bridesmaid in his wedding to Princess Diana. She’s also an amazing designer.
I spent the morning with my gorgeous girlfriend Tiffany Wigbels who is a Style Ambassador & Founding Member for India’s new line.
As we popped colorful clutches in and out of gorgeous leather shoulder bags and played with the heavy, fabulous interchangeable tassels to create new color combos, it hit me that India’s products are PERFECT for helping a busy girl to transition her look through accessories from day to evening.
From India Hicks, a beautifully illustrated guide to achieving her famously undone, gloriously bohemian decorating style. Born from British and design royalty, India Hicks has forged a design empire from her family’s enclave in the Bahamas. In India Hicks: Island Style, she invites readers into her world, offering never-before-seen imagery and irresistible behind-the-scenes stories. Beginning with an uproarious reflection on India’s own design odyssey, the heart of the book is an in-depth exploration of her style. Timeless and under-decorated, her rooms combine carefree Caribbean culture with British colonial form and formality. In ten chapters, India walks the reader through the basics of capturing the look: the subtle palette of island life; the miracle of tablescaping; the warm anarchy of a family kitchen; the pleasure of porches; the drama of entertaining; bedrooms as places of self-expression; the “more is more” style of living with collections; the importance of repurposing; and creating spaces of sanctuary. Witty, richly prescriptive, beautifully photographed, this book will enchant readers with a glimpse of decorating in paradise. ♦ Amazon
Pictured below are India’s Maddison May bags ($420) displayed with a couple of The Insider inserts ($148). I love the subtle and sophisticated signature details (the beetle to bring you good fortune!) you find on all of IH’s products. This is no ‘Made in China’ cheapy stuff.
Her leather goods are made in Ralph Lauren’s factories in Italy using the same Italian leather he uses on his handbags. The bath and body products are made in partnership with Crabtree & Evelyn and Lancôme.
Add, mix & match gorgeous leather Agra Tassels ($54) onto your clutch (or Maddison May bag) to customize your look! The Carmen Clutch ($274) shown in Wine also comes in Stone and Black.

I adore the print on this Heritage Scarf ($58)! Tiffany and I experimented with India’s different scarves and because they are each so deliciously lightweight and larger in size, we were able to create many chic looks from one scarf, making them the perfect accessory to take you from daytime to date night!
Indi Tokens ($39 silver tone $ $45 gold tone) are fabulous to wear or gift to a friend! Shaped and weighted like an English Crown coin, they come in gold or silver tone and have fun text and simple motifs engraved on each side. Made to be worn at the neck or wrist, they are another neat way to change up your look from daytime to evening.
Mr. & Mrs. Cords ($24) are leather cords that come in Black, Wine, Fire Engine Red, Army and Stone with gold or silver tone tips. For a more formal look, The Chain Gang chains ($29 silver tone & $35 gold tone) are also available.
